Honeyblood are Stina Marie Claire Tweeddale and Cat Myers, a Glasgow two-piece girl band who started life with humble DIY beginnings but pull in elements of lo-fi punk pop and indie to classic roots song crafting. Their second album ‘Babes Never Die’ produced by acclaimed producer James Dring (Jamie T, Gorillaz) is out now and has a more high octane sound to it with undeniable classic songs.

Charles Aznavour is perhaps the best-known French music hall entertainer in the world – renowned for the bittersweet love songs he has written and sung, which seem to embody the essence of French popular song, and also for his appearances on screen in such wildly divergent fare as Shoot The Piano Player, Candy and The Tin Drum.
Aznavour would be the last to compare himself with those whom he regards as truly gifted vocalists, such as Sinatra and Mel Tormé, preferring to think of himself as a composer who also happens to sing. His style of performing has been compared variously to Maurice Chevalier and Sinatra and has remained enduringly popular for four decades.

James Blunt is an English singer-songwriter. He had signed with EMI before securing a recording contract with Atlantic Records and Custard Records. He notes that his music is heavily influenced by the house movement of Tom Wells during a stint of recording in Kent.
Blunt has sold over 20 million albums and 17 million singles worldwide, with his debut album, ‘Back To Bedlam’, being listed as the best selling album of the 2000s in the UK. He has received several awards and nominations, having won two Brit Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards as well as receiving five Grammy Award nominations.

Originally all hailing from the New Forest, The Magic Gang met whilst studying at BIMM and are now based in Brighton. Their sound is like an intersection of The Beach Boys, Weezer and The Isley Brothers. The band have toured with the likes of Courtney Barnett, Wolf Alice and Swim Deep and headlined the sold out NME 2016 Aftershow Party at the 100 club. The band are due to release their third EP in March 2017.

Gizmo Varillas - Freedom For A Change (2016)

Born in Santander, Gizmo grew up in Bilbao and arrived in London by way of Cardiff where he studied media as an aspiring documentary maker. However, a lost summer busking for food and accommodation across southern France lead him down another path. One year later, his debut single ‘One and Only’ was warmly received with plays from Simon Raymonde on Amazing Radio and DJ Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing who called this sound “timeless”. The single reached 25 on the radio pop chart and he started receiving the seal of approval from seasoned artists such as the likes of Gavin James and Jack Savoretti who he supported on tours across the UK and Europe. This included shows at the Sage Newcastle, QMU Glasgow, and Melkweg and Paradiso in Amsterdam to name a few.
